Morgan’s Pasture author Wallace J. Swenson made an incredible splash at this year’s Idaho Writers League Conference. Having entered two Conference competitions, he walked away with a resounding two wins!

He won:

  • First place in the Novel category for Calliope’s Call, a realistic socio-political drama set in 2018.
  • Second place in Teen Fiction Short Story for his new piece Sand and Sulfur. In it, a six-year-old boy pays for some rash behavior, and seeks consolation from a strange quarter; a lizard.

An astounding success for a first time author, and we at Three Muses join in congratulating him!
