Internships
Thank you for your interest in an internship with Three Muses Press, an imprint of Ink & Paper Group.
We have no available internships at this time.
We accept internship applications quarterly, but availability is limited. Duration, number of hours, and weekly schedules vary based upon academic and personal requirements. Internship work is conducted in the Ink & Paper Group offices, though some telecommuting may be possible.
Our internships are unpaid. Along with broad exposure to the inner workings of a small publishing house, we provide access to publishing-industry events, conferences, and trade shows at which we present or exhibit; involvement with book launches and readings; participation in our educational outreach programs relevant to publishing; and free access or greatly reduced fees for our professional development classes.

Internships can be tailored to individual needs and goals—yours and ours—but we generally offer the following:
Editing interns begin with acquisitions work (submission reviews, acceptance & rejection letters, tipsheets, proposals, etc.) and in-house editing needs for documents and web content. Interns will then move on to a primary editorial project, usually book-length. Interns work directly with our editorial director and imprint publishers.
Design interns create print marketing materials, book trailers, book covers & interiors, web content, or other projects as needed. Adobe Creative Suite skills—particularly InDesign—are required.
Marketing interns help create strategies to market our books, personal & professional development classes, industry events, and our custom publishing program. Gain experience with event planning, book marketing implementation plans, media communication, and direct involvement with authors and artists.
Publisher’s Assistant will gain experience in all areas of publishing as related to one of our specific imprints, with emphasis on project management, imprint development, and preparation of future projects.
Publishing Business interns assist our publishers with organizational, operational, and financial tasks. The primary needs are revenue-stream support, record keeping, and integration into the local business community.
Please contact Linda Meyer, publisher. We look forward to hearing from you.
